Vishal Tripathi - a Lancastrian cricketer who is training to be a doctor.

Vishal Tripathi is a professional English cricketer who plays at the Bootle cricket club. He joined Northamptonshire on a 3-month trial on 15 December 2010. He was born on 3 March (32 years old). He is right-handed and his role is an all-rounder. He has a brother called Bharat Tripathi.

Next year, however, Tripathi is going to quit cricket and become a doctor! He applied for medical school 3 times, but got rejected. He studied all of his weak points and came back stronger, so he got accepted this time. He will soon be qualified, but he doesn't know what kind of doctor he should be.

His advice is to never give up and be resilient. He said that for example,  just because you fail some subjects doesn't necessarily mean that you are a bad student. He also said that he was weak at some subjects, like English. He was very creative as a child and always let himself get  carried away. He said that he had always enjoyed Art or P.E.

Tripathi states that he had always been very sporty and had rather enjoyed P.E. He also has childhood pictures from when he was 4-5 years old where he has a cricket bat clutched in one hand and a toy ball in the other. He played his first game of cricket at the age of 9.

FUN FACT: WHEN HE WAS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL, TRIPATHI WANTED TO BE A WINDOW CLEANER!

 What is Christmas?

Christmas is a holiday that is celebrated on the 25th of December. It is based on the day when baby Jesus was born. Children receive presents from friends and family, and if they're lucky, Santa will leave a gift. For some people, It is a tradition to put up a Christmas Tree and decorate it with sparkling tinsel, shiny baubles and shimmering lights. Normally, a huge star would be placed on the top of the tree to represent the star that led the Shepherds to the Stable where baby Jesus was born. People would put up decorations inside and outside of their houses. On Christmas Day, A Lot of families have a Christmas dinner.

What is eaten at Christmas Dinner?

In a Christmas dinner, there is normally Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Carrots, Turnips and Parsnips. Then, for dessert, you would have Christmas Pudding, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie,

Raisin Pudding and Fruitcake.

What can we do for Christmas this year?

This year, Christmas is going to be a bit different then usual. This year, only up to 3 households can meet up together for 5 days. Some things you can do with your family is watch a Christmas Movie. Born to Run!!!!!

27th September 2020 - The Coast to Coast Relay: I decided to take on a challenge hosted by a running club named North East Project. The challenge was to take part in a relay from one side of England to the other. I ran almost seven miles and alongside me was my dad, this was the furthest I had ever run and it was extremely difficult. My run consisted of many different terrains including gravel and grass. A few other people joined my dad and me on this part of the relay.

This autumn, I haven’t let the pandemic stop me running. I have still managed to compete.

Result: 6.88 miles = 1:01:30

Dinosaurs were once the superior species and were once the only living thing today but we still admire them, but why? They’re dead but we like them maybe because of how huge they are or about how fascinating they can be, either way we still like them but sadly they had one small flau, their small brains. They may be big but they’re not smart at all. The smartest dinosaur is actually one very small called Troodon! Yeah they were small but were very smart and did good hunting if they were in a pack.

But what about the biggest? Well in fact Argentinosaurus is the biggest one we know of today. It was a massive theropod and theropods are dinosaurs like Brachiosaurus, Apatosaurus and no carnivores are theropods.

But if you want the biggest carnivore than you’re wanting to see is apparently ( I don’t know for sure because i just found out on ) the well known Spinosaurus! Yes, in fact it actually ate fish (which is a type of meat I guess) and it had a long snout and a sail on its back and it was used to saw stuff apart! I’m just kidding but it's actually used to collect heat from the sun while it sits down to make all the heat spread out when it goes swimming in cold water.

Scratch - A Brilliant Coding Website

Scratch is one of the best coding websites to use, since although it can create some extraordinary programs, it is so simple.

To start a program, you need to go to the ‘Events’ section. Your program could end up being a game, a piece of artwork and so much more, it’s all up to you! If you like, you can click the orange share button, and the entire Scratch community will be able to see your project, just as you will be able to do for others. Backdrops and sprites can be inserted into your program too. Sprites (in-game characters) can be added via either: Google Searches, the Scratch sprites, or you can design one yourself! Video sensing, variables and sounds are just a few of the countless incredible features on this website. Also, almost everything is customizable: there are customizable sounds, sprites, colours, variables, code blocks, coordinates, sizes, transparency and thats only a few!

So those are a few reasons for why I massively recommend trying this coding website. The link is: https://scratch.mit.edu/ .

Our Autumn Book - A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events, The Bad Beginning, is an amazing children's book aimed at 10-12 year olds. It is about three unlucky Orphans who go and stay with filthy, vile Count Olaf. Sunny - the youngest - is an infant and has an unusual hobby of biting things. Klaus - the middle child - is very knowledgeable and loves to read although Violet - the oldest - has a knack for inventing things.

If you don't fancy reading the book, there is a whole movie on Netflix. With Emily Browning as Violet, Liam Aiken as Klaus and Jim Carrey as Count Olaf it is a shame not to watch it. As a class, we have been really enjoying this story and I would definitely recommend it.

Puppies - Are they Good for You?

Why are Puppies good for you?

Keeping up with the new puppy can be a challenge. Chasing him around the house and yard, though, has other benefits. It is very fun though because when you're lonely just you ,but if you have a puppy it will  be there for you.Part of the pet effect has to do with increased exercise. I know that my exercise has increased since Magic came to live with us. If you are with your puppy and training it properly, give it more exercise it might start to be good for you. For a trainer it will be very hard but if you just keep giving it exercise and play with it, it will be easy.

Why do Dogs growl a lot?

Dogs growl quite a lot. It is very common for them. The only reason for them to growl at you and other people it is because they want to alert you if there is a murder it wants to protect you of it wants something .Dogs demand and protect you a lot .Just as common are dogs who growl because something unfamiliar is taking place or something or someone unfamiliar has entered their space. A lot of dogs dont growl it is very rare for them to.

Running - what different types are there?

Running, a sport that is very popular all around the globe. Some people run for a hobby or just for fun. When you competetive run  (you take part in races) there are different categories, such as sprint, this is where it is a shorter distance then some other categories because you run faster and quicker. Long distance, this is a bit of a harder way to compete since you run further. There Is also endurance this is where you do running up and down somewhere like a field or a hall, you get a certain amount of times you are meant to run up and down they are usually 8-20.

When you are running you need to be prepared, bring a water bottle, a thin coat and maybe some other layers since it might get cold. You are not meant to eat in the time space of 2 hours before you run since there is a bigger chance you might get a stitch, witch is never fun!

Roblox - Read this to help you not get scammed.

 What is Roblox?

Roblox is a fun game that you can play with your friends. It is basically a game which has lots of games inside it. There are thousands of games to play such as Adopt Me, Tower of Hell, Bloxburg, Fashion Famous, Piggy and much more. Can you buy things in roblox? The answer is yes you can but you have to pay real money to get some. This money is called robux and you can use it to dress up your avatar, buy things in games or even make your own group!

The good things about Roblox:

Roblox is good because you can play lots of games and can play with your friends. It is also good because it passes time. There are lots of games that you can play that can fit what you like. The best part about Roblox is that it is free! It is for all ages and never gets old and there are thousands of games to play.

The bad things about Roblox:

The bad thing about Roblox is you can get cyber bullied or scammed. A cyber bully is where somebody is bullying someone else online. Cyber bullying includes someone saying something mean, saying embarrassing things about you to strangers or really hurting your feelings by saying something unkind. Please be careful because someone cyber bullied me and trust me I was really hurt. Scamming can also make you really sad. Most of the time scamming is on Adopt Me. You can get scammed by someone asking you to trust trade where you put a pet or item in the trade square and they don’t put anything in and they accept and they are supposed to give it back but they could leave the game with your pet. Also you could do a fail trade which is where you put a pet or an item and put any food in and then you give it to them and the trade should fail but they could give it back to you and the trade will go through. I have also been scammed before but one of my friends gave me that pet back and it doesn’t make you feel good. There are so many ways to get scammed so please be careful.

Biking - Everything you need to know!

Biking is a well known sport, hobby, workout and transport method that is both fun, fast, and good for the environment.

Biking as a sport

There are many famous cycling competitions such as Tour de France, Giro D’Italia, Paris-Rouen and of course, the olympics. With this many and more famous races it is almost certain that bicking deserves a place in sport.

Biking as a hobby

Biking is a great hobby as it is fun and exciting. You can also meet new people and explore new places, while you also can do it with friends and even a large group of people you don't know, to make new friends!

Biking as a workout

Biking is a amazing way to workout your legs for a long period of time because pedaling is a thing that you can do for a while ( like going uphill ) and then just stop doing it and rest ( like going down hill. )

Biking as a transport method

Biking is also a great transport method and it can be quite quick. It is a good method because you are a small vehicle so that people can go around you if you go slow ( on the road ) and you can also go on paths to take shortcuts. It is also an eco-friendly transport method as it doesn’t use petrol, bikes are also cheap to make as they are basically only metal, rubber and maybe leather for the seat.

In summary, biking is an eco-friendly and fast transport method that is fun and can help you get more fit.

Halloween - what will it look like this year?

 What is Halloween?

Halloween is a holiday that takes place on October the 31st. It's where children go around on the evening of October 31st trick or treating. Trick or Treating is where children and adults go around to people's houses and ask for candy. Children normally dress up in costumes for parties or going out Trick or Treating with your friends. The most popular costumes that a lot of people wear are a Cat costume, A Witch, A Ghost, A Pumpkin, A Zombie or a WereWolf.

What we can't do this year for Halloween?

This year's Halloween is going to be a bit different from the rest. Because of Covid-19 people won't be able to Trick or Treat or have parties. If you are going to have a party with your family ( people who live in your household) it is allowed as long as they are in your household.

What can we do for Halloween this year?

This year's Halloween you can't really do much. You can't go Trick or Treating or have Halloween parties. But what you can do is; Watch some Halloween movies! Here are some awesome Halloween movies I recommend: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Goosebumps, Goosebumps 2, Hocus Pocus and Casper the Ghost. Also, you could have your own little Halloween party in your house with your family (People who live in your household) or you could just eat candy!

I hope you have a spooktacular Halloween!
