The upcoming event at school is the Harvest Festival. On Tuesday 9th October, some of the pupils went to the People's Kitchen in Newcastle. Every year our school works alongside the People's Kitchen for the Harvest Festival. Everyone brings in donations to put on the harvest table. The People's Kitchen creates a wish list - so that's where we get the ideas from. The day after the Harvest Festival, the People's Kitchen come and collect the food and sleeping bag donations. We learned about the People's Kitchen - how it started and all sorts of other interesting facts about it. We went with Mrs Behan and Ms Kendal. We all really enjoyed it I think that our favourite part was the Greggs jam doughnut at the end!
