Vishal Tripathi - a Lancastrian cricketer who is training to be a doctor.

Vishal Tripathi is a professional English cricketer who plays at the Bootle cricket club. He joined Northamptonshire on a 3-month trial on 15 December 2010. He was born on 3 March (32 years old). He is right-handed and his role is an all-rounder. He has a brother called Bharat Tripathi.

Next year, however, Tripathi is going to quit cricket and become a doctor! He applied for medical school 3 times, but got rejected. He studied all of his weak points and came back stronger, so he got accepted this time. He will soon be qualified, but he doesn't know what kind of doctor he should be.

His advice is to never give up and be resilient. He said that for example,  just because you fail some subjects doesn't necessarily mean that you are a bad student. He also said that he was weak at some subjects, like English. He was very creative as a child and always let himself get  carried away. He said that he had always enjoyed Art or P.E.

Tripathi states that he had always been very sporty and had rather enjoyed P.E. He also has childhood pictures from when he was 4-5 years old where he has a cricket bat clutched in one hand and a toy ball in the other. He played his first game of cricket at the age of 9.
