On the 11th December, some of year 6 went to the Sage. This visit happens every year.
We go there to sing. We prepared every Thursday. The school has Mrs Flynn ( from Park View ) come in to teach us songs. This time we had to sing 4 songs : Hark the herald angels sing, Do you hear what I hear, Please don’t buy me a… and a Child in a manger born.
There were choirs, solos, instrumental songs and schools singing. There was even dancing. The solos were amazing. The instruments were piano, drums, violins, flutes, guitars, trumpets and trombones. WOW!
The schools leave at 14:45 to head to the Sage.
The performance starts at 19:30 and ends at about 22:00.

Our visit to Nissan
What we did!
On our trip to Nissan, we did different activities and found out a lot of cool stuff. We even learned how a Juke was made!
The clothes and boots they wear at Nissan were a little big for Noah when he tried them on! The activities we did were hammered metal, drilled bolts, picked out 3 of each screw with our eyes closed and timed, tried on clothes (that were big for us) and tried to pick out pegs with a time limit.
We also watched a video on how to make a Juke while we all had delicious cookies and refreshing juice!
About the training factory!
Inside the training factory there were a few workers doing their jobs. There was a mannequin that Noah, Rachel, Kasey and I thought was real but when we found that it was a mannequin, we were quite embarrassed.
Next, we raced each other (I raced Noah) in a formula one racing competition, using compressed air, and (sadly) Noah won. I got a shock when I pressed the button!
Then, we saw a robot and it was sneezing, drawing, talking and it even wrote ‘Hi Angus!’ and drew a car!
Making the Monozukuri Caravan
After lunch, we went into another room and got into our teams. First, we made some designs with LEGO in pairs and I worked with Chris. We looked at a map of the building and when we saw how big the car park was we were shocked! After that we did a production line and this time I was with Chris, Amelia , Olivia, Finlay and Ben.
Once we finished the caravan, the lady who worked there announced the winner of the best Monozukuri caravan design. It was Rachel, and the runner up,who was Amelia. Congratulations winners!
After we all said thank you and goodbye they handed us a Monozukuri caravan bag, which came with a notebook, a highlighter, a pen, a pencil, a ruler, a couple felt tips and a pencil case that you can colour in.
