Green Tree Award

Mrs Sweet, our reception teacher, was pleased to learn this week that our school achieved the Green Tree Bronze Level Award with the Woodland Trust. We have gained this for our outdoor learning curriculum and the work we undertake teaching our children about the woods, trees and wildlife.

There are a variety of hands-on, educational activities that can be undertaken to achieve the award, that is designed to encourage children to explore the natural world around them. One activity was a tree planting event which was attended by many parents. Our next target to aim for is Silver Level.
